Groups and Field Trips |
 |
There must be at least 25 children and/or
chaperones to be considered a group!
(Birthday party groups are not eligible for
group rates... a party package must be
purchased. Please see
Birthday Parties...)
The Imagination Workshop is not available
for private functions during or outside of
regular sessions.
Before your Group Visit or
Field Trip:
We suggest that you designate a group leader
who will be there on the day of your visit.
This person will be the primary contact
during your group’s visit. If your school
group consists of more than one class,
please select one teacher to represent all
the classes. The group leader will be
responsible for notifying museum staff of
any changes made to your reservation
regarding the field trip date or changes in
the size of the group.
The group leader will be responsible for
balance due at the front desk. We accept
Visa, MasterCard, checks or cash. Sorry, no
purchase orders.
On the day of your visit:
Arrive early if the children will be eating
a snack or their lunch before entering the
Professor’s house. Please wait until the
children have finished eating before
checking in with your greeter.
To check in, assemble your group on the
front porch. Teachers and chaperones should
stay outside with the group while the group
leader checks in at the desk.
If anyone in your group needs to use the
restroom before or after your designated
session time, please use the restrooms
located in the courtyard of the beautiful
Old Town Temecula Community Theater. During
your session time, you may use the restrooms
in the back of the Professor’s house.
Chaperones:
Chaperones must be 18 years of age or older.
We require one adult chaperone for every
five children. Chaperones are responsible
for the behavior of the children they are
supervising while in the Professor’s house –
please stay with the children in your group
and be available should they have questions
or require your assistance.
Workshop Etiquette:
Just like visiting a friend, the
Professor’s house and his exhibits should be
treated with respect! Good behavior and
consideration of others are expected from
the children and adults in your group.
Please encourage children to use walking
feet and inside voices while in the
Professor’s house. Food, gum, and drinks are
not permissible in the house (although you
may purchase and eat a snack or drink in the
snack bar area).
Pennypickles Gift Shop:
Professor Pennypickle's little gift shop is
operated by the Friends of the Temecula
Children's Museum, a 501c3 non-profit
organization. All proceeds benefit
programming and events at the Workshop.
To avoid crowding, we recommend children
visit the store in small groups (no more
than 8-10 children at a time) and space
their visits throughout your stay. An adult
must accompany children at all times when
visiting the store.
Please remind the children that although the
Professor loves it when they touch and play
with everything in the museum, the items in
the store are for sale.
Snacks:
Pennypickles gift shop offers water, drinks,
and snacks for sale. Purchased snacks may be
eaten in the snack bar or outside area only.
