Events at Pennypickles   |   January 2010

The Professor is planning some really fun and exciting adventures for you in 2010! You will have to check back often so you don't miss anything.

May is Pennypickle's Month-O-Surprises, where the Professor will reveal an incredible surprise for you - you will have to wait, though! Beaker is so very excited that he can hardly wait... maybe he'll hint at the surprise - you never know.

Be sure to reserve your tickets early for Pennypickle's special events so that you won't be left out!

Lego Builders' Contest: Wheel-O-Rama
Friday, January 8, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
The Professor's 2nd Builders' Contest challenges you to use your Lego sets (maybe you got one for Christmas!) to invent a crazy wheeled contraption. Your creation must be no larger than a shoebox and it must have wheels. Other than that, anything goes!

All ages are eligible. Only one submission per person will be judged. Space is limited! Purchase your tickets early so you won't be left out.

Tickets for the Lego Builders' Contest are $5 per person and will be held for you at the door. (There is no additional entry fee.)

Messy Science
Friday, January 15, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Let's face it - science can be messy! Since the Professor is well accustomed to making a mess while he is discovering and inventing, he invites you to share in the fun... and leave the mess here at the Workshop. Get your tickets early, cause there are a lot of kids who love to make a mess.

Tickets for Messy Science are $5 per person and will be held for you at the door.

Food Science: Playing With Your Food
Friday, January 22, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Who knew that food - and its preparation - could be so much fun and teach you so much about science? Try not to munch-too-much as you learn some scientific principles concerning the food and drink we consume every day. Beaker will be eating all the leftovers.

Tickets for Food Science: Playing With Your Food are $5 per person and will be held for you at the door.

Mystery Spy & Disguise Night
Friday, January 29, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Wear your best disguise and put your imagination to the test as you go on a top secret mission to become the Best Spy Ever.

You'll send secret messages, identify and track your quarry, and discover what you'll need to assemble your own Super Spy Kit as you track other agents in the Professor's Workshop tonight.

Tickets for Mystery Spy & Disguise Night are $5 per person and will be held for you at the door.

Pennypickle's special events are fundraisers to help support programs and events at Pennypickle's Workshop,
and will be hosted by the Friends of the Temecula Children’s Museum, a 501 c3 non-profit organization.

Please call Pennypickles gift shop at 951-308-6376 if you have questions about any events, or if you would like to purchase tickets by phone.

Your generous support will insure more fun happenings in the Professor's house and be sure to shop at Pennypickles for fun and unusual toys and gifts! Proceeds from the gift shop also help to benefit events and programs for Pennypickle's Workshop, the Temecula Children's Museum.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Friends of the Temecula Children's Museum... you can do it here...
